At least five people have died and several more have been injured after a vehicle crashed into shoppers in Drottninggatan during a terror attack in Stockholm.
The truck drove into Ahlens Mall, a department store in Klarabergsgatan, crashing through the wall before it went up in flames on Friday afternoon.

Witnesses also reported that gunfire had broken out near Fridhemsplan Metro – 2km away from the upscale shopping mall. Following the attack, hundreds of shoppers were seen fleeing from the scene after the attack began at about 3pm local time as the city’s transport system was put on lockdown.
They told how victims lay dead in the street while medics and members of the public treated the injured.

Soon after, armed police officers arrived at the store. Police Spokeswoman, Towe Hagg, confirmed the attack and revealed that the incident is being treated as a suspected terror attack. It was later discovered that it was indeed a deliberate act.
