Usually, in restaurants abroad, when a couple get engaged in a restaurant, they give them free celebratory desserts. But in this case two teenager decided to fake their proposal just to get a free celebratory desserts.
Cati Domitrovich, 19, and Alex Nagle, 17, aren’t even dating, but that didn’t stop them from getting “engaged” recently.
Last Saturday, the two best friends from Texas wanted to cheer themselves up so they went out to a fancy dinner after a bad week.
So they pretended to be a couple and staged a fake marriage proposal. Their mission is to get a free dessert.
Domitrovich explained that when she went to the bathroom, Nagle told the waitress he planned to propose and asked her to be on standby to take pictures. BuzzFeed Reports.
When Domitrovich was back at the table, he got down on one knee and pulled a ring out of his pocket.
When Domitrovich said yes to the fake proposal, the entire restaurant reportedly bust into applause and sure enough, the “happy couple” soon received their dessert.
“We just had to act like a couple the entire time,” Domitrovich told BuzzFeed News. Well, duh. You have to earn that free dessert. Also, we don’t know where they got that pink, glitzy ring, but it definitely passes for real and looks stunning.
