President Muhammadu Buhari has asked Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo to remain in that position while he continues his rest, thecable.ng/breaking-osinbajo-remains-charge-continue-rest-says-buhari" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">a report by TheCable has said.
He made this known Shortly after his arrival, where he met with top government officials at the first lady conference room of the presidential villa in Abuja.
He said he was feeling better, but still needed to rest.
Buhari thank all those who prayed for him during his time in London, and asked for more prayers.
“I deliberately came back towards this weekend so that the vice-president will continue and I will continue to rest. Thank you very much,” he said.
Among those that attended the meeting include his top officials; Abba Kyari, chief of staff to the president; Babagana Monguno, national security adviser; Lawal Daura, director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS) and Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman.
Governors who were present are; Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano state, and Abdulaziz Yari, his Zamfara state counterpart.
He retired into his residence at the end of the meeting.
